The Victorian Government has committed $128 million to establish ten Tech Schools across Victoria throughout 2017 and 2018.The Tech Schools are located on TAFE or university sites and are high tech centres of learning for local government and non-government secondary school students to access enhanced learning experiences and improved connections to local industries and jobs of the future.Wyndham Tech School, one of ten Tech Schools in Victoria, is hosted by Victoria University (VU) on its Werribee Campus. It uses leading-edge technology to deliver the programs Victorian school students need to succeed in the rapidly changing global economy.The Tech Schools introduce students to the tertiary education environment, creating smoother pathways into post-secondary education and training.Secondary school students and teachers from 34 partner schools in the Wyndham area have access to cutting edge technology and specialised programs in a purpose-built co-learning environment. The WTS's innovative education programs link with local, national and global industry and mentors to deliver real-world learning.WTS emphasises the vital science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics skills needed for success in our highly disrupted global economy. It enhances the programs schools provide, and helps prepare students for the jobs of the future.
