Going through my mental health recovery, I discovered the incredible power of healing through sharing my story. Here you will find skills, stories, experiences and more that I am discovering that have either helped myself or someone I know.I am a returned veteran with leadership skills, mentoring, people management, high-performance coaching, training and assessment and human resources.In 2019 after a colleague lost his battle with mental illness I hit rock bottom. I was admitted into a mental hospital where I was later diagnosed with PTSD, major depression and generalised anxiety, I was in a very dark place.Since hitting rock bottom I have heavily invested in my recovery including a weekly psychologist and monthly psychiatrist appointments, weekly group therapy, three inpatient programs between three and six weeks each time. I have also been on a journey of self-discovery slowly and carefully removing the masks of safety I had been wearing through personal development courses, spiritual investigation, self-care, core belief dismantlement and reframing, meditation, yoga, walking and employing a personal life coach.It is during all of this I realised the power of sharing my journey of living with mental illness that I could also help others. Not everyone has the access or opportunity to partake in such a larger amount of therapy, research, and discovery, therefore, I made the conscious decision to share what I learn to heal others.My goal is to pave a path through the darkness of mental illness into the light and save lives.
