Established in April 2019, ISG is a component of the Defense Security Cooperation University (DSCU) and supports the Defense Security Cooperation Agency's (DSCA) mission of advancing US national security and foreign policy interests by building the capacity of foreign security forces to respond to shared challenges. As the Department of Defense's lead implementer and catalyst for Institutional Capacity Building (ICB), ISG's mission is to advance the field and practice of ICB to advanced shared interest with partner nations and align ICB innovation, leadership, and objectives to advance DSCA's capacity and flexibility to execute its core missions.
