Impact Bay Area is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that teaches effective boundary setting, personal safety, and physical self-defense skills. Our classes are tailored to meet the needs of different ages, genders, and communities. Our vision is a community where everyone has the personal safety tools to live a fuller, more confident life. We have been teaching personal safety and self-defense skills since 1985. The intensive format of our classes quickly hardwires skills in our students so that the skills are available to keep them safe even many years after taking the class. We teach public classes in San Francisco, Oakland, Berkeley, and Walnut Creek. We teach private classes anywhere in Northern California. We also teach classes designed especially for the workplace.
