CONVENING COMMUNITY AND INVESTING IN EQUITY FOR SEATTLE STUDENTSThe Alliance for Education supports excellence in education by advancing educational justice and racial equity for students in Seattle Public Schools. Our vision is a deeply invested community that collectively ensures all students in Seattle Public Schools experience a sense of belonging, receive an excellent and equitable education, and reach their fullest potential.How does the Alliance make a difference? We innovate, we invest, we engage.• We INNOVATE, leveraging strategies centered in racial equity and educational justice. We have distributed over $1.2 Million to students and families with immediate needs• We INVEST, to create an equitable, excellent education system for all students. Since 1995, we have raised over $155,000,000 in support of Seattle Public Schools.• We ENGAGE, convening community to support our schools. When schools closed in March 2020, the Alliance for Education immediately began to support SPS families and students in new and targeted ways. Working in partnership with the district, the Alliance engaged with community partners and donors to help meet SPS families' most critical needs – childcare, access to food, and resources for learning at home.- $3M through the Education Equity Fund to address remote learning needs during the pandemic- 10,000 laptops donated to students during Spring 2020- Over 25,000 meals provided to SPS studentsSee our IMPACT at www.alliance4ed.org
