The Nisqually Indian Tribe, a sovereign, federally recognized tribe located on the Nisqually River in Thurston County, is committed to serving our tribal membership and preserving our culture. The Nisqually Indian Tribe have reacquired some land for housing and a commercial presence that includes the Nisqually Red Wind Casino, providing 600 jobs in Thurston County. Additionally, we employ about 300 tribal and non-tribal people in government and service jobs. We have six Nisqually Markets and a seafood shop located in Tumwater with more businesses on the horizon.
