The Buttonwood Park Zoological Society, founded in 1969, is a private, nonprofit that funds educational programs and family events at Buttonwood Park Zoo. The BPZS is responsible for the operation of the Bears Den Cafe, North Woods gift store, train and carousel rides, memberships, marketing, special events, fundraising, grant writing and the volunteer/internship programs at the zoo.
