Our technology is a smart exoskeleton; it provides a seating and movement solution for children and adults with physical and movement disabilities. Our solution can benefit users of all ages, from babies as young as 6 months old to the elderly. Resymmetry is addressing more than 20M people in the Western world. Resymmetry won the $100K first prize in the prestigious 45+ Merage competition for 2016.Movement disabilities confine the person to a single sitting position for most of the day. Prolonged sitting causes several major problems - changes in the skeletal structure such as scoliosis, hip dislocation, development of pressure sores and diminished performance of internal systems. 87.5% of patients develop dislocated hips and 90% develop scoliosis. The key problems are repeated surgeries (~$30K for spinal surgery) and hospitalization, alongside expensive home medical treatments. The well-being of the individual drastically decreases.heali allows over 12 degrees of postural freedom. The chair changes its configuration, enabling an autonomous shift of the user's body to different postures and positions. It also features minor continuous motions, keeping the user in constant movement to stimulate breathing and muscle activity. This substantially mitigates the harmful symptoms of movement disability. A featured learning system collects user data from sensors and forms a "big data" record that yield recommendations for the postural changes.
