Its Business Unit portfolio is composed by Heat Treatment, On-Site Heat Treatment, Equipment & Supplies, Welding and Consultancy & Training. Traterme is structured such that it does respond quickly and competently to demands for large or small heat treatment projects. Such projects may be associated with new construction or as part of a maintenance shut-down, on Oil Refineries, Petrochemical Plants, Power Plant... Traterme also provides specialized services to the Automotive Industry, Foundries, Construction and Engineering Companies either at their works or on Site. Projects are undertaken throughout Portugal by a team of experienced Metallurgical and Welding engineers, and field personnel conversant with a wide range of heat treatment techniques and their application. Traterme operates a quality management system which complies with the requirements of EN ISO 9001. Acting on the behalf of the progress of future generations, the company implemented also EN ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. Right now, Traterme is the only company in the Iberic Peninsula certified with ISO/TS 29001, specific for Petroleum, Petrochemical and Natural Gas industries. During all these years of operation, Traterme has built a solid position in the market, as a reliable company in heat treatment of steel/iron and on-site job, which maintains high standards of professional know how and keeps pace with the latest developments. Regarding on-site services, Traterme offers the most advanced portable Heat Treatment equipment and highly skilled field technicians combine to deliver accurate and affordable on-site Resistance Heat Treatment services. At the end of the work, Traterme issues a technical report (paper and digital) in compliance with EN 10204. Traterme is also known as the Portuguese partner and sales representative of Weldotherm, a universal developing company of heat treatment units, from Essen.
