The Marc Heitz Auto Family was a locally-owned dealer group in Norman, OK. It was founded in 2000 by Marc Heitz when he purchased the former Larry Spencer Chevrolet location in Norman, OK. Marc was a life-long Norman resident and a graduate of the University of Oklahoma. Under Marc's leadership, and with a talented and dedicated group of partners and employees, the Chevrolet dealership grew rapidly. In 2007 the Chevrolet team achieved the distinction of the #1 GM dealership in the state in 2007 and #15 in the country in 2008. That exceptional performance was achieved for 6 consecutive years, until the dealership was sold in 2012.In 2008 the group built and moved to a new state-of-the-art dealership facility on 16 acres of land directly adjacent to Interstate 35 in south Norman. The new dealership was a community-themed destination point with over 90,000 sq ft under roof, a 35-foot waterfall on the showroom with aquarium below, an outdoor amphitheatre, a wind turbine for supplemental power, 3 children's play areas, 2 dog parks, an outdoor ice skating rink during the holidays, and many more features that made the dealership truly a one of a kind experience for the community, customers, and employees. In addition to the Chevrolet franchise in Norman, there were additional similar high-performing dealerships as well; Marc Heitz Ford in Purcell Oklahoma, Marc Heitz Auto Valley (GM-Chrysler dual) in Pauls Valley, OK, and Joe Heitz Toyota ion Clarksville, TN. Mr. Heitz sold the dealerships to individual dealer groups in 2011 in 2012 and now lives with his family in Hawaii.
