Founded in 1980 in the city of Uberaba (Minas Gerais State, Brazil) by brothers Márcio and Mauro Assunção Cecílio, Mac Furniture is recognized for the originality, beauty and quality of its outdoor furniture, for both home and the hospitality and corporate environments. The company is recognized in the market for its handmade application of raw materials such as synthetic fiber, aluminum and cumaru wood - certified by IBAMA (Brazilian Institute of Environment and Renewable Natural Resources) - in its products. Mac was born out of the need to create a beautiful, absolute, unique, and eternal style and stood out nationally in the first years of its existence. After a decade in the market, the company innovated by bringing from Germany to Brazil synthetic fiber and an appropriate weaving technique unknown in the country. Extremely high quality and high resistance to external actions such as sun, wind, and rain, two decades later the synthetic fiber has become the most used raw material for outdoor furniture.Mac also contributes to the preservation of our natural environment. Mac has joined Green Farm CO2 Free, the largest environmental preservation platform in the world, whose proposed work is to reduce and/or neutralize CO2 emissions into the atmosphere, an initiative of great sustainable impact. For every piece of wooden furniture sold by the brand, a tree is planted by the institute in a conservation area owned by Mac, with an areas 46,500 m², the equivalent of about five hectares. Native trees of three different national biomes - Cerrado, Mata Atlântica (Atlantic Forest) and Pantanal (a wetland region) - are planted and cared for in the Itaquiraí Mato Grosso do Sul State headquarters. The project also involves a conservation breeding of wild animals and fish farming with the release into the Amambaí and Parana rivers.
