Paulo Gontijo Institute (IPG) is a non-governmental organization that promotes scientific research on the cause and cure of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) - the third most frequent neurodegenerative disease in the world - and develops humanization projects for professionals, patients and relatives. The IPG was idealized by Paulo Gontijo, a physicist, civil engineer, businessman and person with ELA. In Paulo Gontijo's view, science is the greatest patrimony of humanity. With this conviction, he dedicated the rest of his life to science and created, in 2002, the Institute with his name. The activities started in 2005 and, since then, the IPG seeks to fulfill its strategic objectives as idealized by its founder. To know more, access our networks:www.ipg.org.brwww.facebook.com/InstitutoPauloGontijowww.twitter.com/InstitutoPGwww.instagram.com/InstitutoPauloGontijo
