The Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation (OLGR) is responsible for regulating the Queensland liquor and gaming industry in a way compatible with minimising harm caused by these products and, maintaining the integrity and probity of the gaming industry in Queensland, and ensure that, on balance, the state and community benefits from gambling.The OLGR consists of the Office of the Executive Director, the Organisational Services Branch, the Licensing Division and the Compliance Division. The policy, legislative functions and research functions are the responsibility of the Office of Regulatory Policy. Collaboratively, these divisions play a key role in Queensland's liquor and gaming regulation by:• Developing a responsible liquor and hospitality industry• Regulating the sale and supply of liquor and gaming products, through probity, licensing, proactive and reactive compliance strategies and the administration of the community benefit funds; and• Implementing initiatives which minimise harm and prevent crime associated with the consumption of liquor and gambling. The OLGR's key clients and stakeholders consist of:• licensees, permitees and their staff• licence and permit applicants• liquor and gaming industry associations• community groups and individuals affected by the sale and supply of liquor and gambling activity; and• other Government and regulatory control bodies.
