In the Intensive Program, students can expect to reach college-level proficiency in about one year.In 1960, Dr. Robert Lado founded the Georgetown University School of Languages and Linguistics, where he served as Dean until 1973. In 1977, Dr. Lado retired from Georgetown University to open his own language school, LADO International College, which has grown to four centers in the United States.
