PlayUp offers soccer based mentorship programs designed to improve the quality of life for young people. Our programs incorporate team building, learning, leading and economic development opportunities for people living in poorer areas or with less opportunity around the world. We offer mentor training for coaches, mentors for young people, and ideas, tools, and actions for communities to grow their own opportunities.Our vision is a world where a coach is no longer just a purveyor of certain skills, but a mentor to help develop a child's ability to make powerful, positive, and intentional life choices; where mentorship is available to every child and no child goes without the lessons, relationship, and experience a mentor brings to their life, regardless of their circumstances; and where communities are no longer just groups of people with circumstantial proximity, but are self-declared and interconnected support systems capable of helping each child reach their fullest potential.Our mission is to empower, support and develop youth and their communities through soccer. This simple game brings together communities, cities, countries and people in general, and teaches those who play so much about teamwork, competition, failure, success, dedication, health, fitness, and more. We believe that the lessons available through soccer translate into every day life, and given the right coach/mentor, every young person can use those lessons to thrive and succeed in their communities.
