Using skilled evaluation, diagnosis and a wide range of hands-on techniques, Osteopaths can identify types of dysfunction in your body.    Osteopaths use manual therapy, which involves skilled 'hands-on' treatment that may support tissue reparation, movement and recovery. Osteopathic treatment is holistic in nature and uses techniques including muscle stretching and massage coupled with mobilisation and/or manipulation of specific joints. In Australia, osteopaths are governed and registered with AHPRA. They complete five years accredited university training in anatomy, physiology, pathology, general healthcare diagnosis and osteopathic techniques.Osteopathy is covered by most private health funds and by Medicare's Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plans.
