The mission of the Alliance Française of New Orleans (AFNO) is to inspire and facilitate interaction and understanding between the people of Greater New Orleans and those of French speaking lands through quality education and community involvement.The AFNO offers French classes for students of all ages and levels--including beginner classes in Houma and Metairie, Bébé and Petite Alliance classes for small children. We administer the DELF, DALF, and DAEFLE exams, which are the only internationally accepted French proficiency tests. We also develop and host social events--including film screenings, lectures, apèros (cocktail socials), wine tastings, cooking courses, croissant contest, and an annual photo contest.
