The family is very active today in all facets of business as well as civic support.The Bachrodt family opened their first Chevrolet dealership in Rockford in December 1953 on Church Street in downtown Rockford. The patriarch of the family, Lou Bachrodt, Jr., was the owner/operator of the store. Decades later, Lou Bachrodt is still family owned and leaders in the automotive industry.
