Tabula is a privately held fabless semiconductor company developing 3-D Programmable Logic Devices. Its ABAX family of 3PLDs, based on Tabula’s patented Spacetime architecture, sets new density, performance, and affordability benchmarks for programmable logic, memory, and signal processing. Headquartered in Santa Clara, California, Tabula has assembled a leadership team consisting of industry veterans and successful entrepreneurs. The company is backed by top-tier investors with a long-term view toward enduring market leadership. Our Company name, Tabula, is derived from the Latin Tabula Rasa, which means “blank slate”. We have chosen the name “Tabula” because our devices are, in effect, “blank slates” for turning ideas into production silicon. In addition, we have tried to take a fresh, “blank slate” approach in creating the next stage of custom logic design. Tabula’s mission is to provide customers with the best path from ideas to production silicon. Our technology is a result of a bold re-thinking of the entire process of custom hardware design, verification, and production. The creativity of our engineering team has resulted in over 150 patents pending in EDA, IC design, architecture, and advanced process technology. While our technology is disruptive in the industry, it is not disruptive to our customer’s design practices. The Tabula team consists of seasoned industry veterans who know how to balance innovation with practical market requirements. To accomplish this we are building a company geared for enduring leadership in technology, product, marketing and sales, as well as operations and finance. Every member of the Tabula team contributes their time and talents toward the construction of a great company.
