A Community Becoming Champions Through Faith in ChristJesus calls people to follow Him today and through that radical life-changing following of Him we see transformation in our lives, making us truly Champions. We are a Community Becoming Champions Through Faith In Christ. It's our mandate as a church to encourage, challenge and equip people to follow Jesus today. We're a church that is part and parcel of the local community, sharing faith, sharing life and serving the local community. We have an amazing Mini Champions Parent and Toddler Group, A Christians Against Poverty Job Club and even a Tabletop Champions board games group. Each Sunday we meet together at 10:30am for what we call our Main Event. It's a time when we come together to thank God for all He does for us, to hear a challenging message from the scriptures and its another chance to get tooled up to follow Jesus better. Whether you're totally new to Jesus or whether you're a seasoned pro, the Main Event is designed for you! During our Main Event each week we have a programme that caters for children called Mini Champions which includes their own lively worship time, Bible stories, craft, snack time etc. We believe that teaching children about Jesus and following Him is their birthright and we desire more children and families to join us. We are a church which is part of a much larger group of churches known as Assemblies of God Great Britain. There has been a Christian Church on our site at Carleton Road since 1908 and it became an Assemblies of God Church in the 1970's. Over the years the church's name has changed, being known as Carmel Pentecostal Church, Skipton Pentecostal Church and Skipton Christian Fellowship.
