William George is fast becoming a household name in the online auction industry, experiencing rapid growth in sales, services and customer base from our establishment. Our success is largely down to market leading innovation, separating our core methodologies from that of traditional auction houses. In 2018 our auctioneers conducted 800 auctions hosting over 70,000 individual lots at a value of in excess of £50 million. We separate our sales in 14 core departments including everything from luxury items to liquidations, with each auction being administered by its own dedicated auctioneer. Focusing on customer service, order management and inventory management we aim to make it simple and transparent for both our customers and vendors throughout the whole process, from hammer to fulfilment. By investing in bespoke software to automate these traditionally laborious tasks, we are able to minimize costs to both parties, offering a 0% sellers commission whilst retaining low buyer’s fees. This leaves us in the position to offer a superior service at a more competitive price. Our head office is based in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire where most of our team are based. We do however have national coverage with a number of external sales agents based in both northern and southern regions of the country.
