TIREA, Information Technologies and Networks for Insurers Entities, SA was created in 1997 as a response to the initiative of the Insurance Sector in Spain to establish an efficient, safe and economic means that would facilitate the communication and collaboration necessary to achieve common objectives. Backed by more than 130 Insurance Entities, TIREA is one of the largest cooperation initiatives of the Insurance Sector in Europe to carry out a common improvement project. TIREA's mission is to provide value-added services to the Insurance Sector through applications and a telecommunications network, which facilitate the standardizing framework of the information exchange processes involved in the sector value chain.
