Miss Hope and Mr Greenwood are the living personification of the brand and they began by selling traditional sweets in their shop in Dulwich – "The Best Sweetshop in Britain!" declared Tom Parker Bowles, "don't be surprised if one day we hear the name of Hope and Greenwood uttered alongside Cadbury, Fry and Rowntree".As Purveyors of Splendid Confectionery, Miss Hope and Mr Greenwood, at the invitation of Terence Conran, designed a range of branded confectionery which they then sold in to the likes of Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, Harrods and many other premium retailers. The brand took off and now can be found in top-notch retailers such as Waitrose, Ocado, John Lewis, Selfridges and Moonpig.com whilst also being in high demand amongst more boutique food outlets such as Partridges and The Grocer On as well as luxury hospitality with Claridge's and The Langham.Internationally, you will find H&G in over 30 countries as well as having 35 stores across Japan in partnership with their chums at PlazaStyle.Outside of confectionery, Miss Hope has written four recipe books, of which Miss Hope's Chocolate Box won Sainsbury's Book Title of the Month.In August 2014 Miss Hope and Mr Greenwood will share their passion for all things sugary and sweet with their trademark enthusiasm for their craft. In a new four-part series starting in August 2014 on BBC Two, this fun-loving couple put on the rubber gloves, pull out the heavy-bottomed pans and strain, squeeze, shape and craft their lovingly made confections. Miss Hope says: "I am tickled pink that I will be on the tellybox whipping up lots of your favourite playground sweets plus some new, mouth-watering treats!".A fourth recipe book will accompany the series.
