This division, known as Lafitte Cork & Capsule, offers corks of the highest quality. Since 1995, Lafitte Cork & Capsule has operated a state of the art QC laboratory with an ozone-infused moisturizing room to aid in ensuring cork sterility, the first of its kind in the US.SOLAR INITIATIVEIn 2007 Lafitte USA went Solar by installing a 52.4kWDC photovoltaic system with 262 Kyocera KC200GT solar modules. The system generates approximately 75,104 kWh annually, which reduces our annual utility electric expense by approximately 100.0%. According to the EPA, the clean electricity generated by our solar system will reduce atmospheric emissions significantly - the equivalent of 17.5 acres of trees in CO2 absorption!
