The Institute of Faith Education was established by Archbishop F. R. Rush on 8 September 1976 to provide the people of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia and beyond, with educational opportunities in scripture and theology in the Catholic Christian tradition. Part of the Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane and a Registered Training Organisation (RTO Code: 31402), the IFE offers nationally accredited courses as well as non-accredited courses and professional development in theology, ministry and religious education. These courses provide Christian faith education and formation within the context of the Catholic tradition.The IFE serves the formation needs of various agencies of the Catholic Church in Queensland and beyond. We provide tailored education and formation designed to resource learners to work effectively in the various agencies of the Catholic Church and in the wider community. We value being responsive to the needs of learners and to the agencies who use our courses to train their staff.
