The Australian Agricultural College Corporation (AACC) was formed in 2005 when the Australian College of Tropical Agriculture (incorporating Burdekin Agricultural College and Mareeba Environmental College), Dalby Agricultural College, Emerald Agricultural College and Longreach Pastoral College joined forces. Since 1967, AACC has developed invaluable relationships and partnerships with peak rural and agricultural industry bodies. More importantly, AACC has equipped young people with the necessary rural management skills to ensure a strong work force for the continued growth of Queensland's valuable primary industries. April 2010 saw the release of AACC 2012: Reconnecting agricultural education plan [PDF 405KB] to reinvest in training products and services for rural and related industries. Importantly, the reforms mean AACC will deliver more training, in more places for more of Queensland's workforce. AACC combines more than 130 years' experience in agricultural education and training in a range of specialisations, across Queensland located in a range of different geographic and climatic regions.
