Longline Environment provides the aquaculture industry modelling solutions addressing environmental, social and economic issues.Longline Environment's approach to aquaculture, fisheries and water quality is pioneer as we apply modelling software for prospective and existing aquaculture farms, government institutions, water managers and regulators, aid agencies and development programmes, insurance and financial entities. We have models for offshore aquaculture, onshore aquaculture and carrying capacity at the system-scale, providing insights for shrimp, bivalve and finfish aquaculture as well as water quality simulations.Our focus is delivering outcomes of research on aquatic systems for practical management applications. We have a combined experience of decades in research and its application to estuarine and coastal issues, and optimise cost-benefit by clearly distinguishing between front office and back office components of our work, tapping into a worldwide network of contacts, and taking full advantage of a flat world.The company was established in the United Kingdom in 2005, and has close ties with academia, enabling us to stay current in research advances.
