Cassell & Associates is a post-acute therapeutic work program that has been uniquely designed for survivors of traumatic brain injuries. For over 28 years, the Cassell & Associates team has provided an environment for survivors to re-establish a sense of purpose and dignity in their lives. Martha Cassell's personal experience inspired the establishment of Cassell & Associates: her mother survived a traumatic brain injury in 1976. For thirteen years prior to opening Cassell & Associates, Martha lived with all of the emotions and fears that family members of survivors experience. By the opening of Cassell & Associates in 1989, Martha had formatted an approach to client care that was focused on creating a "new normal" for survivors and family members. With the intent of having measurable therapeutic goals for each survivor, she integrated real work into the post-acute rehabilitation process. Our survivors are treated with dignity and respect. As they succeed, a genuine feeling of accomplishment and purpose is developed. At Cassell & Associates, the personal approach to each client is integral to success. Our ratio of one staff per three survivors ensures that each person has constant, direct attention. Our ability to offer numerous groups and enclaves in the community each day provides survivors with interesting and challenging workdays while earning a paycheck. Our goal is for each client and their family to move beyond survival, to a life filled with purpose, triumph, pride and fulfillment. We hope that you visit our program to experience, for yourself, the opportunities that we offer to survivors.
