Woodlands Community Lenders (WCL) is a non-profit business and community development funder. We make low-interest loans to qualified businesses and communities in the Randolph, Tucker, and Barbour County areas in West Virginia. Woodland Community Lenders is providing a combination grant/loan program for local downtown revitalization, funded by the Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation Grant and USDA Rural Development. This grant/loan combo focuses on deteriorating structures within seven area towns. Qualifying building owners are eligible for grants of up to $4,000 for design and assessment combined with loans of up to $100,000 for building rehab or façade improvements. Download the brochure. By providing downtown business/property owners with access to essential capital, WCL is helping invest in a strong future for north-central WV. It's an exciting opportunity for you, your business and the community. Elkins, Beverly, Philippi, Belington, Davis, Thomas, and Parsons are the initial participating communities. Grants and loans will be distributed concurrently to qualifying building owners in these areas.
