Manager opleidingen at Academie voor Ambulancezorg - Harderwijk, Gelderland, Netherlands
The Academy for Ambulance Care (In Dutch: Academie voor Ambulancezorg) is the nationwide educating and training facility for all ambulance professionals in the Netherlands. The 3 main target groups are: • ambulance nurses, • ambulance drivers and • the dispatchers working in the ambulance control rooms. The students are sent from the regional ambulance services (RAV) to follow their training. • For novice professionals, we offer the so-called ‘initial programs'. • For postgraduates the AvA, in collaboration with other educational institutes, offers most up to date courses as PHTLS, AMLS, PEPP, GEMS, MIMMS, POET, etc. • In Holland every ambulance care professional has to recertify every three years by passing an professional check. For the Netherlands we've developed a full day assessment for the 3 target groups. This assessment is performed in a laboratory setting. Using high end simulation, combining the use of manikins and standardized patients, we work as truthfully as possible. Most courses are organized in Harderwijk. Some programs are organized at various other locations in the country.
