A Place of Refuge Ministries is a Crisis Pregnancy Advocacy Service and Shelter serving South Wisconsin and beyond. Since 1993, A Place of Refuge Ministries has offered physical, emotional and spiritual support to women in Milwaukee and 5 surrounding counties (and since the development of our website, all over the world) facing crisis pregnancy. When mothers call our hotline, 414-476-6333, they are assigned a volunteer advocate who works with them throughout their pregnancy and beyond...helping them find area resources and sharing resources collected by our congregations and friends. Refuge House, a shelter where women and children can stay during a woman's pregnancy and up to 9 mos. afterward, provides even more intensive care. At Refuge House, the needs of the women and children we serve are taken care of so that they can complete their educations, find employment and prepare to provide for the needs of their families with the help of the many programs we offer both inside and outside of the home. We also run Blessed Again Resale Shop, providing low-cost items for our moms and the community while raising funds for our ministry. Blessed Again is located at 7624 W. Hampton Ave., Milwaukee, WI 53218. The store is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. Donated items can be dropped off whenever the store is open.
