Gentle Jogger was created by Marvin Sackner and Tony Adams, two Miami doctors who are passionate about wellness and enabling people to live longer and healthier lives. Their journey began in 1996, while examining ways to help newborns in respiratory distress, the duo discovered that using a motorized platform to repetitively move the body in a head-to-foot direction increases nitric oxide, which in turn, helps with circulation and organ blood flow. After more than 20 years of studying basic and clinical research on the benefits of simulating this movement that causes nitric oxide to be released, the Gentle Jogger was born. The doctors knew if they made a mechanical device that was portable, lightweight, and could be used either sitting or lying down, that it would be an essential tool for hospitals, nursing homes and other clinicians to help those who are bed-bound or recovering from an injury that prevents walking. As the obesity epidemic increases in America, and another health threat from excessive sitting emerges, their hope is that the Gentle Jogger will get everyone moving in the right direction for optimal health.
