The Center for Plain Language wants government and business documents to be clear and understandable.We support those who use plain language, train those who should use plain language, and urge people to demand plain language in all the documents they receive, read, and use. We encourage people to use plain language by: Urging people to demand plain language in the documents they receive, read, and use Advocating for the use of plain language in government, law and business Training people to write in plain language Coordinating events to encourage learning and networking in the Plain Language community Rewarding examples of good writing with awards and good report cards Exposing examples of bad writing with "awards" and bad report cards Doing and sharing research that shows plain language improves communicationWe work with people in business, not-for-profits, research and education organizations and global and local governments
