San Francisco Rising is a vibrant electoral alliance that builds political power of working-class communities and communities of color in San Francisco.We are an alliance of long-standing (10-45 years old) grassroots organizations organizing African-American, Latino, Chinese, and Filipino communities in San Francisco for housing & worker rights, environmental & racial justice, and youth & women's empowerment. We came together to build the political power of our communities to win lasting change on a broad set of issues. We have helped win a $15 minimum wage, Free City College, stronger renter protections, and Sanctuary protections for immigrants. In addition to San Francisco campaigns, SFR helped found Bay Resistance, a vehicle to defend our communities from right wing attacks in the wake of Trump's election.
