ABOUT ME |Ian Robert Jones is a Vancouver-based producer | content designer currently writing a television series called Uli2029. Jones spent more than 17 years as a radio host, journalist, web-writer and internet video producer at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation prior to starting the multi-platform production company Contenu. Jones conceived, designed and hosted three radio programs at the CBC; Media Zone, The MLMB and the Talking Stick. He also created, produced, hosted and wrote the 36 part web-series the MLMB Rock n'Roadshow, wrote the popular web-column @world.ca and has written a cinematic screenplay called This Is Water. Most recently Jones was invited to take part in the prestigious 2014 Power to the Pixel Pixel Lab in Tonbach Germany, a story incubator for Europe's top emerging cross-media producers and writers. He is currently looking for partners and collaborators to develop, finance and distribute the television series Uli2029. ABOUT CONTENU |Contenu is a new Vancouver-based start-up that produces multi-platform storyworlds in English and French. The main project in development is the sci-fi television drama Uli2029. Uli2029 is a twelve part tv drama that uncovers the bizarre circumstances surrounding the disappearance of American physicist Ryan Burch. Other projects in development include Luxuria Has Departed, a twelve part sequel to Uli2029 that features the adventures of a curious machine-human who designs virtual experiences; Ball's Pyramid, a video game where players help giant black centipedes on an isolated wedge-shaped island to evolve in order to avoid extinction; Minimum Viable Product, a dark psychological web drama about two brothers who hunt each other while playing a live action role playing game; and Peshawar Pop-Up Cinema, a feature length web-doc about UN efforts to establish a community-based pop-up cinema in the slum areas of Peshawar, the world's 6th most dangerous city.
