Arlington Free Clinic (AFC) is a dynamic, award-winning, community-based organization that has been providing free, high-quality medical care to low-income uninsured adult Arlington County residents since we opened our doors in 1994.We receive no federal funding, but rely on private donations, foundation grants and the dedication and commitment of hundreds of volunteer doctors, nurses, and other medical/non-medical supporters. For the 1,700 patients that we are able to provide care for at any given time, the Clinic is a fully-integrated medical home. Patients come to us by referral from our community hospital or shelters; others become patients through our monthly intake process. All receive top-quality, comprehensive care.
