The very first Gambaro establishment opened in Brisbane on Caxton Street in 1953, by the late Giovanbaptista Gambaro after he moved to Australia from his hometown in Italy. From this time, and for more than three generations, Gambaro have pioneered Brisbane's hospitality industry. From humble beginnings as a single fish and chip shop, to developing a successful hotel business, Gambaro have always focused on offering guests a five-star experience. Having won numerous industry awards, Gambaro will continue to honour its fundamental goal to provide guests with the best customer service experience possible.This tradition has continued with the opening of Gambaro Hotel Brisbane in 2014. The Hotel was awarded "Best New Accommodation Hotel in QLD" at the QHA Awards for Excellence in October 2014.Established as a family-owned business, the Gambaro Group continues to be owned and operated by members of the Gambaro family.
