Based in New York city, Farrago represents a unique interplay between exquisite materials and contemporary design. Traditional techniques bring the past into the present, while cutting edge technology and design give life to exciting new forms. Warm beige camel bone, deep charcoal horn and rich, colorful resin!!! One-of-a-kind metal castings transformed into pieces imbued with fluid movement. Sustainably sourced woods and materials speak to Farrago's deep commitment to responsible design. Talented craftspeople expertly transform these unique materials into high quality, customized one of a kind pieces. Started in 2003, Farrago Design was founded by Reeta Gyamlani, and Arthur and Rita Ermelino. Originally from India, Reeta moved to study design at Pratt Institute. In classic New York style, she found kindred spirits in her landlords Arthur and Rita who shared a passion for quality craftsmanship and responsible design. When Reeta decided to start Farrago Design, she invited the Emerlinos to join her on the journey. Reeta's mother, Pushpa Gyamlani, is responsible for Farrago's overseas manufacturing and quality control operations.
