Al Etihad is one of the largest and fastest growing gold & silver refineries in this region. Established in 2009, the company can trace its origins from the traditional gold souks formed by Bahrain's Khalaf family in the late 1940s. Equipped with a team of highly committed experts and state of art refining, smelting, assaying, diamond removal and minting equipment, Al Etihad has established itself as a major player in both the production and service sectors of the industry. In 2012, Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), a Government of Dubai authority, honoured Al Etihad with the prestigious DGD accreditation for Gold and Silver. The refinery is also accredited by ISO 9001:2008 for Quality Management System, ISO 14001:2004 for Environmental Management System and OHSAS 18001:2007 for Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems. Al Etihad Gold Refinery is also a member of the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) and the Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group (DGJG).
