The Massachusetts National Guard was founded on December 13th, 1636 in Salem, MA and is the oldest component of the Armed Forces of the United States. Our Soldiers serve a dual-mission, protecting freedom at home and around the globe. Most Soldiers serve part-time, one weekend per month and two weeks a year. In recognition of their work and sacrifice, they are entitled to a number of outstanding federal and state benefits. The state of Massachusetts provides an exclusive waiver which allows National Guard Soldiers to attend any of our state colleges or universities 100% free of tuition and academic fees! For nearly four centuries, the men and women of the Massachusetts Army National Guard have served with pride and honor. Contact us today to join them!
