She cared deeply about Jewish education and her gift made possible extensive additions to the Wilmington (now Wallenberg) Campus. In honour of a further substantial gift she made before her passing in 2008, the entire school was renamed the Anne and Max Tanenbaum Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto – TanenbaumCHAT – its every day usage.
