The Defend Them All Foundation (DTA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the legal protections of animals and their habitats. In furtherance of this aim, DTA works directly with advocates in target localities through community education, legislation, and effective enforcement. DTA engages in innovative ventures at the intersection of animal and environmental law. By employing a cross disciplinary approach, we use our individual backgrounds and talents to create long-term solutions and build a better future for the causes we support. What we do DTA advises and supports advocates committed to making a difference and frequently serves as an intermediary between policymakers and local advocates. This unique approach often facilitates a more productive conversation between stakeholders resulting in practical, long term solutions to controversial issues. We recognize that issues impacting animals and the environment are extremely complex. Without proper attention to community education, laws and regulations, and enforcement positive change is not sustainable. We have seen success where these three critical components are working together to create a cycle of progress. If one of these aspects falls to the wayside, the policy tends to stay stagnant or even backtrack. With this is mind our work and campaigns are founded on these basic principles and are the groundwork of our advocacy.
