Founded in June 2020, the American Muslim Bar Association (AMBA) is the first national bar association for Muslims in the country. AMBA is a professional organization of American Muslim lawyers committed to the practice of law and advocacy in the pursuit of justice in both the public and private spheres for all Americans. AMBA's work is motivated by principles of the Ahlul Bayt, the family of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon them), which include love, compassion, mercy, and justice. AMBA has four main objectives which are executed through committees- To provide vulnerable members of society with legal resources- To advocate for those who seek justice and equality under the law- To mentor the next generation of Muslim American lawyers- To provide our communities with the legal education they need
