A passion for food started for me many years ago. I love to eat! I love to cook. However, as I age I discover that my body was not responding the way I want it to. Joint pain, headaches, bloating and hormonal issues started to appear. In 2015, my understanding and knowledge of the impact of food on my gut and brain changed forever. Depression and anxiety were a constant part of my life, but changing my diet from fairly healthy to making informed, conscious decisions allowed me to lift the fog of depression and keep anxiety under control. I learnt about the impact of gluten on mental health and removed it from my diet and then that of my family. I discovered that gluten can impact not only mental health but other health issues as well. I have not only addressed my mental health, without medication but have rid myself of joint pain, bloating and other health issues. Now as a Functional Nutrition Consultant I want to share the knowledge I have gained with others to live their best life. This is not a diet. It's a way of living. Waking up feeling alive, well, fit and ready to be the best version of me.
