The Holly Springs Salamanders are an amateur baseball team in the Coastal Plain League, a collegiate summer baseball league, and are owned by Capitol Broadcasting Company, which also owns the Durham Bulls (AAA affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays), WRAL-TV/FM and WCMC-FM, along with other media entities in North Carolina. The Salamanders play their home games at Ting Stadium in Holly Springs, and the 52-game season runs from late May through early August.
