My colleagues and parents are often discussing the finer points of a preschool education. When should my child be reading? In what class should we start handing our students scissors? Questions like these sent us to the Internet, searching for answers, which were often spread far and wide, and not in a comprehensive manner.There are a ton of websites out there dedicated to unit and lesson planning, but less on the overreaching goals that should be the focus of every classroom, like developing fine motor skills throughout the school year, incorporating multicultural studies and STEM, or the benefits of dramatic play opportunities in your classroom. As we all know, learning isn't just about your numbers and letters, but also the human being you will grow up to be. My goal for this blog is to be a one-stop shop for these types of discussions.
