All of the pleasure, none of the pressure for our consumers. That's what we live for at Van Dyck Fine Foods, a bakery manufacturer based in New Plymouth. We firmly believe that pancakes make life happy and express this in our premium brand Marcel's. But a popular brand is not made overnight. Belgian immigrants Inge Vercammen and Marcel Naenen founded Van Dyck Fine Foods in 1999, bringing together a passion for Belgian bakery and European engineering. The fully automated plant has expanded, now capable of turning out thousands of pancakes an hour. The growth and success was acknowledged in 2019 when we won the Large Business Excellence Award winner at the TSB Taranaki Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards.We contract manufacture sizeable volumes for brands in New Zealand, Australia and in Singapore. Marcel's foodservice range also includes major chains across New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, Taiwan, Dubai, Papua New Guinea and Fiji. Switching to a customer centric approach now has enabled the company to introduce greater product innovation. Consumers have helped design recipes on their packaging and contributed to a variety of flavours in New Zealand and Australia.
