Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Richmond is a locally funded and operated non-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to children and their families by supporting programs that directly improve the health and well being of children. Providing family-centered spaces for families to rest, recharge and connect with one another, RMHC of Richmond helps provide a bridge to quality health care for families who must travel to access the best care for their child or helps remove barriers to their care.RMHC of Richmond keeps families near each other when they need it most through our core programs, the Ronald McDonald House® on Monument Avenue and the Ronald McDonald Family Room® inside local area hospitals. Other locally-developed programs that address critical needs of children inside hospital walls include RMHC Sibling Center and Sleep Rooms, Happy Wheels Carts that deliver activities to children and Lunches with Love, which provide meals to pediatric patient families in local area hospitals. RMHC Richmond programs are funded by local businesses and individual donors, including 18% of our support which is contributed from local McDonalds Owner/Operators. Our work would not be possible without strong local partnerships and thousands of dedicated volunteers.
