Opiate dependence is most effectively treated with a combination of medical management and behavioral therapy. This dual approach to treatment maximizes the likelihood of long-term abstinence. The Addiction Treatment Center of New England is a non-profit Opioid Treatment Program located in Brighton, Massachusetts. We are accessible by the MBTA and offer parking, early morning dosing, and day/evening/weekend groups and individual counseling services.Upon admission to the ATCNE program, a client will receive a thorough physical examination by our medical staff to assess general health status and determine the treatment protocol best suited to the client's needs. ATCNE collaborates with the client's primary care physician and other health care providers by informing them about the client's status and progress, including attendance, participation and test results from random urine testing. For admission into methadone detoxification or methadone maintenance services, applicants must voluntarily apply for treatment, display signs of current physiological addiction to opiates as evidenced by withdrawal signs and symptoms, and complete all parts of the intake process. Applicants to the methadone maintenance program must also have a verifiable history of opioid addiction dating back at least one year. Admission to our Behavioral Health program (individual and group SUD counseling) requires voluntary application and completion of all parts of the intake process. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
