Newton Legal is a Bahrain-based international law firm established in 2012 with the objective of providing world-class legal services throughout the Kingdom of Bahrain and the GCC region. Since inception, Newton Legal has expanded into Qatar through a licensed branch at the Qatar Financial Center.Newton Legal has grown to become the largest law firm in Bahrain with over 20 of the brightest Bahraini lawyers specializing across a number of practice areas, including Corporate & Commercial, Real Estate, Energy & Infrastructure, Dispute Resolution, Banking & Finance, Employment, TMT and Public International Law.Newton Legal works closely with a number of key Bahraini governmental clients including the Office of H.R.H First Deputy Prime Minister, the Office of H.E. Deputy Prime Minister Jawad Al Arrayed, the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), the Economic Development Board (EDB) along with the Oil and Gas Holding Company B.S.C.(c) (nogaholding) and its subsidiaries i.e. Bapco, Tatweer, Banagas, Bahrain LNG, Bahrain Gasoline Blending, and BAC Jet Fuel, to name a few. Our structured approach allows us to advise on issues in a way which is tailored to each client's exceptional, multifaceted and occasionally politically sensitive transactions.Newton Legal's mission is to assist the development of young lawyers. It does this in three primary ways.The first is by operating the Bahrain Lawyers Development Program (Program); a unique two-year program supported by Tamkeen, whereby young Bahraini lawyers are exposed to the largest projects across the Kingdom allowing them to gain real-time practical experience in all fields of practice.The second is by providing training contracts for those that have passed the Legal Practice Course, to qualify as solicitors in England and Wales. As English law is widely used in the region, this gives our lawyers the chance to advise on some of the largest and most complex commercial and financing transactions, as well as English law arbitrations.The third is by through the teaching of law courses under the auspices of the College of Law of the University of Bahrain.In addition, Newton Legal runs an internship program in conjunction with the University of Bahrain for training law students. These initiatives are at the core of our values of empowering Bahrainis.
